This year’s theme is Hairspray!
As part of the production, dancers will need to purchase their own costumes (including any necessary undergarments). We’ve included Amazon links to costume suggestions below. Please ensure your costume is a solid, dotted, or polka-dotted dress—floral prints will not be accepted. Male dancers or those seeking a more masculine look can adapt the female costume suggestions with pants and a shirt of their choice. If you already have something that fits the theme, feel free to use it. Please note any necessary alterations will be your responsibility. We encourage everyone to keep costs as low as possible.

Additional Production Rehearsal

Time: 4:30–6:30 PM
Location: BLDC
We would appreciate it if your dancer is able to attend. This rehearsal will help all performers feel confident and stage-ready.
Recital Morning – On-Stage Rehearsal
Date: Saturday, May 31
Time: 9:00 AM (Doors open at 8:45 am)
Dancers must be fully ready before rehearsal begins—this includes hair, makeup, costume, and shoes.
Costume Notes
Dancers should wear dance trunks or dance shorts under their costume
Competition rhinestone earrings (clear or AB) may be worn.
Please do not wear additional accessories such as petticoats, hair bows or headbands.
No Tights
Shoes
Jazz – Opening Number:
All dancers will wear flesh-tone jazz shoes.
Tap – Finale:
The following dancers will wear tan tap shoes:

All other dancers will wear black tap shoes.
