Our Hip-hop classes are an excellent choice for high-energy kids who want to take a fun dance class. The classes emphasize rhythm, musicality, coordination and age appropriate choreography.

​BLDC ensures that no suggestive lyrics or movement will be used in the classroom, and age-appropriate costumes will be selected for any dances performing in the Spring Dance Concert. Hip-hop classes also include some traditional jazz dance movement and steps.

What do you need for class?

All required shoes are available for purchase through BLDC.
​Stop by or contact the office to schedule a shoe fitting. ​
Dance clothing is available for purchase in the studio lobby. 
Dress Code
Please use the dress code guidelines for the gender of which the student identifies, or fitted dance clothing that is similar to anything listed which feels in line with the student's identity. 

Girls & Boys
Required Attire: Form-fitting dance clothing in which the student feels comfortable and allows for free movement. ​
