Auditions for our competition teams are open to all dancers in Kindergarten through 12th grade. We welcome dancers of varying ability levels to showcase their talent and passion for dance.
An optional informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 10th at 6:30 pm. This meeting is specifically for parents of dancers who are interested in auditioning for the first time. It's a fantastic opportunity to gain insight into the audition process and learn more about what to expect from the competition program at BLDC!
Join us for Audition Prep classes on Wednesday, June 11. Led by our experienced competition team faculty, Audition Prep classes offer a unique opportunity to familiarize dancers with the audition process and practice essential skills they may encounter during auditions.
Whether you're a seasoned competitor looking to fine-tune your skills or a newcomer eager to dive into the world of competitive dance, our Audition Prep Classes will set you up for success. Don't miss this chance to boost your confidence for auditions!

SUMMER CLASS REQUIREMENTS
ALL standard competition team dancers must attend a minimum of eight days during the summer.
Summer tuition is $450 and includes all Multi-discipline Days, Ballet Intensive, Tap & Jazz Intensive and the Technique Intensive. Dancers are encouraged to attend as many summer classes as possible. Tuition is paid in two payments of $225 on June 20 & July 21.
Ages 10 & Up:
Sumer tuition is $730 and includes all Multi-discipline Days, Ballet Intensive, Tap & Jazz Intensive and the Technique Intensive. Dancers are encouraged to attend as many summer classes as possible. Tuition is paid in two payments of $365 on June 20 & July 21.
- The tap/jazz intensive and ballet intensive will count as 2 days each, and conclude with a short showcase.
- The technique intensive will count as 2 days.
- One Acro session can count as one day (additional fee).

ACRO
Two sessions of acro classes will be offered this summer. Acro is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. A defining characteristic of acro is the smooth, graceful transitions between dance and acrobatic movements. Acro teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, and above all discipline and concentration. We highly encourage dancers to take Acro class to help enhance their dancing.
If you elect to have one session of Acro count as one of your dancer's required days, there is an additional fee. Fees are outlined below.
Ages 9 & Under:
First Acro Session: Additional $60 added to summer tuition due on June 20
Second Acro Session: Additional $100 added to summer tuition due on July 21
Ages 10 & Up:
First Acro Session: Additional $50 added to summer tuition due on June 20
Second Acro Session: Additional $120 added to summer tuition due on July 21
Class placement and the exact time of the class will be emailed by July 7th for session 1 and July 23 for session 2.
Acro class will be held in the evenings between 5:30-9:00pm.
