We're committed to supporting each dancer on their unique journey, providing guidance, encouragement, and opportunities for growth every step of the way. Schedule & Classes:
At BLDC, we recognize and respect that each dancer's journey is unique, shaped by their personal goals, skill level, and involvement in our competitive program. Our team members devote varying amounts of time to their training, ranging from 3.75 to 15+ hours and 2 to 4 days per week. Following the audition process, the specific time commitment for each dancer is outlined on their team invitation form, ensuring clarity and transparency regarding their training expectations and options.
Technique Classes:
Technique classes are fundamental to a dancer's growth and development. These classes focus on skill-building, strength, flexibility, and technical proficiency. Dancers work on refining their technique and mastering fundamental skills essential for their competition routines. Technique classes provide a solid foundation for continuous growth and advancement in dance.
Rehearsal Classes:
In rehearsal classes, dancers learn and polish the choreography for their competition dances and recital performances. Guided by their instructors, dancers focus on performance development, precision, consistency, and artistry. Rehearsals are where dancers bring their routines to life and prepare for the stage.
Team Participation:
Standard Competition team members are required to participate in a minimum of 2 competition dances, typically in Tap and Jazz. Additionally, dancers have the option to audition for Hip-Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary, and Ballet teams. They may also choose to add additional groups of the same discipline or audition for Solos, Duos/Trios. The number of dances per person ranges from 2 to 15, depending on placement and individual family decisions.
Tuition & Financial Responsibilities:
Financial commitments vary depending on the level of involvement in our competitive program. Yearly tuition, divided over 9 monthly payments, ranges from approximately $192 to $450 per month for unlimited classes. Additional financial responsibilities include competition fees, convention fees, costume fees, travel and lodging costs, and other miscellaneous expenses. Detailed information about tuition and financial responsibilities is provided to families upon enrollment. Please note that the unlimited tuition fee does not cover private lessons or solo, duo/trio tuition.
Admission & Auditions:
