Disciplined training in classical ballet technique provides the foundation for the development of the dancer. Body Language Dance Co. is known for building strong dancers with solid technique, largely in part because of the strength of our ballet program. Through our ballet classes, students will learn proper body alignment, stretching and strengthening techniques, coordination and gracefulness.
Because ballet provides the foundation for all styles of dance, it is not only essential for the child with an interest in classical ballet training, but also for the dancer looking to improve his or her technique in all other forms of dance. Ballet as we know it today was created in France under Louis XIV. Because of its origin, the same French terminology is used in all classical ballet classes around the world. Starting in our youngest classes, our instructors use and teach the proper dance vocabulary. Because classical ballet has only minor regional variations in core technique globally, our students are able to successfully take class anywhere in the world. |
