ACROBATIC DANCE
Acrobatic Dance, or acro as it is commonly referred to by dancers and dance professionals, is the beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements. Acro technique includes balancing, limbering and tumbling and is based in flexibility, contortion and strength.
Acro classes are taught by our instructors who are certified in the professional curriculum of the Acrobatics Arts company. All classes will begin at the first level and will work to complete all requirements. Because this is a progressive program, students may not "skip levels" or jump ahead. All tasks must be achieved before a student is ready for the next level to ensure their success and safety. Pre-Approval is needed in order to enroll in Acro classes. Please contact us to inquire about availability. Online registration is not available for these classes. Minimum Enrollment Requirements: Students ages 6-10 must also be enrolled in Sparks, Building Blocks C, Combo Tap/Jazz or a Ballet class. Students ages 11 and older must also be enrolled in a Part-Time Competition program, or ballet class. Contact the BLDC office via email or phone to inquire.
